River Run Estate is a fly fisherman's dream on the Gallatin River...The clients approached Bitterroot because of the multiple services offered. Bitterroot Timber Frames works together with the architects, interior designers and, other tradesman to take a project from initial client consultation through site analysis, architectural design, log package, timber frame, millwork, built-in furniture, and fine cabinetry.
This home sits on over 11 acres along the Gallatin River and has 6646 square feet of living space. The logs are made from standing dead spruce and pine trees. Both the log stacking system and the infill panels were built and assembled at the Bitterroot Timber Frame Yard in Stevensville, MT. The corner design for the logs is saddle notch, which is a traditional style used in handcrafted log homes. The logs are full rounds and use chinking as a design feature to create a water-tight bond between logs.
Solid wood floors, natural stone tile in all of the bathrooms, and a floor-to-ceiling great room fireplace made of Harlowton moss rock is the focal point of the room.It also has a specially designed fishing room that has compartments for fly rods, wet boots, and hanging waders.
